About Client
A leading medical device manufacturer in Netherlands, specialised in pelvic health, engaged iOrbit to develop a consumer home-use variant of the existing clinical version of their pelvic health device.
The device helps in targeted and effective treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction in females with an accurate diagnosis. The unique design of the probe makes it suitable for both rectal and vaginal use.
Client’s Challenge
The challenges with existing system are
- The professional system is complex and costly
- The system is limited to specialised clinicians in clinical environment
- Inability to continuously monitor the progress
- Requires patients to make frequent visits to the clinic
This calls for a new variant which the users can use themselves at home. The home-use variant should be more user-friendly without compromising on the features. It should also support existing probe design as the probe is expected to be the same and not expected to be redesigned.
